Meeting the Inner Man, Animus - Workshop Recording

We usually talk about the animus as if it's only about the men in our lives. But it actually shapes how a woman relates to herself and the world first — and only afterward to any particular man in front of her.

With yourself. The animus is what lets you decide, discern, say yes or no without permission. Without access to it, decisions take forever, and the inner critic sounds convincing and harsh — like truth rather than opinion.

With the world. It's also the energy of initiative: starting rather than only responding, taking up space rather than making room for others. Without it, potential goes unused — not from lack of talent, but from lack of access to the structure that turns an idea into action.

With men. An unconscious animus projects outward — we see our own inner image laid over a real man's face. That's where the blinding infatuation comes from, and the equally total disappointment. A conscious animus lets the man in front of you become visible as he actually is.

This work isn't about becoming "more masculine." It's about access to the whole spectrum already inside you: tenderness and clarity, closeness and decisiveness.

This workshop includes theory, a guided meditation, an embodiment practice, and some follow-up homework practices for integration.
