Personal Somatic Session

One on one session

€50.00

Individual somatic session that combines Somatic Movement, Art Soma and Body-Mind Centering apporaches with Depth Psychology. The session last 1-1.5 hours and is adapted to your personal needs, questions and interests.

These sessions can be one-off or on regular basis (weekly or bi-weekly). We can discuss your needs in a free call and establish a routine that works for you.

In these sessions I use tools from Somatic Movement and Infant Developmental Movement, as well as Somatic Art Practice®, a new experimental body-based art method created by Marina Tsartsara. It combines Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen's Body Mind Centering® approach with various artistic disciplines (such as mindfulness meditation, drawing, collage, sculpture, creative writing, performance and improvisation with movement and voice).

I add elements of depth psychology (Jungian approach) to my approach to this practice, such as active work with imagination, symbolism or dream interpretation, which help us to see the final artwork as a ‘body story’ so that we can continue to understand it, communicate with it and transform it into something new.

With this practice you get the opportunity to:

Begin creative work with your inner world that you can continue at any time and apply to other situations in your life.

Try a new way of working with physical symptoms and limitations to better understand them.

Process inner material from art, dance, psychological practice or therapy to integrate it and create from it.

Master a tool for working with yourself and others, especially if you are a parent or helping professional (psychologist, therapist, etc.).

Discover creativity as a playful, intuitive and enjoyable practice and gain new creative tools.

Note: these sessions are not a substitute for individual therapy. They can have a therapeutic impact, provide more insight into somatic symptoms, and provide tools for further exploration. If you are experiencing trauma or going through a difficult period in your life, it is always helpful to be accompanied by a therapist.
